I am an outdoorsman and military veteran who enjoys traveling into remote and rugged wilderness environments throughout North America. I document my adventures and provide you the necessary information to safely navigate, and enjoy these wilderness areas.
My background and experience began in 1983, when I enlisted into the US Army out of high school. I served and trained with very elite and distinguished units during my military career which spanned between 1983 to 1992.
MILITARY UNITS I SERVED WITH
During my tour of duty I attended the U.S Army’s Ranger School, (Class 12-86) where I earned my Ranger Tab. In 1991, I attended and successfully completed the Special Forces Assessment and Selection Course, (SFAS) at Fort Bragg North Carolina. I have received the following specialized training during my military career.
I am currently a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office located in Orlando, Florida. I have served with (3) law enforcement agencies during my career which began in 2002. Below are the agencies I have served with.
US CONTRACTOR (AFGHANSITAN)
Between 2008, to 2010, I took a leave of absence from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and I became a US contractor, (Advisor), in Afghanistan. I was embedded with a specialized military unit where I trained, mentored, and advised, the Afghan National Police (ANP) in police tactics, training, and logistics.
